Al Caucci Fly Fishing Schools

Casting clinics are an 18 year old
tradition at the Delaware RIver Club.
Save at least five years of learning on your own when you attend Al Caucci's famous 3 Day Delaware Flyfishing Schools.

The Basic Course is designed for the beginner or novice and will prepare the student to fly fish on their own when they leave. This is a complete on-the-stream fly fishing course, not just a casting class.

The Advanced River Guided Program was designed for the intermediate (through most expert) angler who wants to bring his or her game to a higher level. Fish and match-the-hatches for wild browns and bows on our private stretch of the West Branch, the East Branch and the main stem of the Delaware River. Al personally teaches and guides in these exciting fun filled programs

Learn your bugs from the master himself.
All courses and seminars feature on-the-river instruction where you learn by actually fishing for our wild fish with an instructor at your elbow. Some of the tips taught by Al and his staff are available online.

  • 3 day group Schools The three day group school offer classes for both the beginner and advanced fisherman. Students have extended opportunities to fish with instructors on the Delaware system as well as to improve their casting and learn Al Caucci's famous insect identification and fly selection techniques. As Paul Guernsey wrote in the May/June issue of Fly Rod & Reel "A benefit of the Delaware River Club's culture of scientific precision is that in the fly shop not only can you get an imitation of every insect on the river, but you can also get an imitation of every life-phase of every insect from nymph to spinner."  The school include 8 meals prepared by gourmet chef, Fabio.

  • 2 day private schools available during weekdays and any day in the summer and fall.

  • One day "Introduction to Flyfishing" course available weekdays and any day in the summer and fall.

  • One day "Advanced River Guided Program" for intermediate to advanced flyfishermen available weekdays and any day in the summer and fall.

  • Our Special Rocky Mountain Program features fishing the best of the West with Al and learning the hatch matching techniques on the great western rivers.

  • The Bahamas Bonefish Programs teach trout flyfishermen how to bonefish plus advanced techniques for catching large bonefish for the advanced angler. As Ted Leeson wrote in the May/June '96 Fly Rod and Reel "What you finally get in (the Al Caucci Bahamas Bonefish Program), is what you get in any good educational setting: the distilled experience and practical wisdom of the experts presented in a useful and efficient format."

  • Full Guide Service with both wade guides and drift boats is also available at the Delaware River Club. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable about the river and the hatching activity and are expert flytyers.
